A 3-minute quiz

You've got a character you love and nowhere to play them.

Find the person who'd actually show up.

Take the 3-minute quiz and meet your Player 2 type.

Fifteen quick questions about how you actually play, and what you're actually looking for.

Your campaign didn't die because people lost interest. It died because nobody could agree on a time.

GeekKnights is play-by-post. You write when you have ten minutes. Your group writes when they do.

No Sunday night that four adults have to protect. No session that dies because one person got a shift change. The story keeps moving while everyone lives their life.

An AI game master runs the quest between your posts, plays the NPCs, and keeps the thread alive when your group can't get to a table.

Why I built this

A note from the person who built it.

I've been playing since D&D's first wave, and running games for most of that time. Here's the thing that kept happening: my campaigns die around level 12. Not because anyone lost interest, because a group of adults can't hold a schedule together long enough to reach the end.

The last one died at level 8, right at the peak of the story. Our tank couldn't make it anymore. We tried playing on without him; it wasn't the same. We tried starting fresh in a different system; the energy was already gone.

I've spent 25 years building web apps, the last stretch of it on AI. I built GeekKnights because I wanted the thing I kept failing to keep alive: a game that survives everyone's calendar, with people who actually show up.

The circular Player 2 types dial showing all six types

Fifteen questions sorts you into one of these player types.

And it isn't a party trick. Your type follows you into GeekKnights Social. It shapes who you get matched with, and who the AI puts in your quest party, because a group that gets along beats a group that's optimal on paper.
